About Linda and her Society Philosophies...
Who is not, but should be newsworthy today?
Average, everyday people who just plug along, never hurting anyone and trying to do the right thing. We always hear about politicians, sports stars, movie and t.v. stars, rich people who don't really do anything, but we never hear about just the ordinary people.
Anyone who is trying to better the world, whether we agree with their philosophies or not.
Children who are in the foster care system and will end up "alone" when they turn 18.
Good families who are willing to take in foster children.
What current events or circumstances should receive more news coverage?
Health care in the world gets coverage, but still needs more and more, until a good plan is put into place.
Homelessness. What are we going to do for people who have no where to go?
Who is today's most absurd role model?
So many,
Paris Hilton, Britney Spears, skinny, skinny models.
Sports stars making tons of money and acting like asses.
Movie stars who flaunt their money as if they are so deserving of it. Some of them forget that they are just people who may or may not have a God-given talent who were in the right place at the right time. Yes, they work hard, but come on!
What cause do you believe in enough to take action?
Causes that encourage people to stay off of drugs.
Children's causes.
Animal rights.
Health care issues.
For what causes have you taken action in the past?
Big Brothers and Big Sisters
Planned Parenthood
(I obviously need to get more involved)
What is the best book you've read about bettering the world?
I'll have to think about that one.
