Who is not, but should be newsworthy today?
the small leaders in society, people who can change areas, but do not have publicity behind them. kofi annon, and other peace makers. i think the youth of today are highly worthy of the news, they are tommorow. i firmly believe in my generation, even if no one else will, i have faith in them.
i never believed in people who were my age till i read the most amazing verse in the bible. i found it in timothy, on a day when i felt like i was the smallest person in the world, then i read, "Let no one despise your youth" i could not think of a greater way to say how i felt. i think that teenagers need to be searched for ideas, for their capability at understanding. we are not dumb, we are simply unresourced.
What current events or circumstances should receive more news coverage?
anything besides the war and future campaign. is anyone else sick of the neverending OJ Simpson Case?

the aids campaign, and the use of drugs and alcohol in our culture. when a young celebrity does cocaine or heroin, or meth, we sit there and wonder if they will go to rehab, but we don't really seem to mind. we don't realize that they represent our population, that a good portion of our population has done or is continuing drug use. why can't we take a firm stand on this? support your rehab programs.
Who is today's most absurd role model?
young celebrities that are too young to handle the idea of leading. those who do not know how great an impact they have. the people who mislead others, those who do it without knowing how their casual mistake, makes a great devastation on their followers, this does not only mean celebrities.
What cause do you believe in enough to take action?
abuse, violence, social battles, drug/alcohol abuse, poverty, the death penalty, the impossible state educational testing, foster care system, aids, skin cancer, racial and economical battles.
i also think it is important to support politics and voting to bring greater change than our verbal action.
For what causes have you taken action in the past?
the perception of learning disabilities. drug and alcohol abuse in schools. violence in america, and abuse.
the no child left behind act, leaving children behind. it is in part to the state governments fault that students are being tested with biased stressful questions, expecting not the right answer, but the right explanation.

What is the best book you've read about bettering the world?
the bible. the metamorphosis by kafka.
What is a socially-conscious website that everyone should know about?
this one. peacecorps website. ooooooooh and help feed the world! amnesty international has a great site with lots of information. and americorp has a great site for volunteer work.
