About Robin and her Society Philosophies...
Who is not, but should be newsworthy today?
Everyone in most communities around the world who are making a positive difference in the lives of those less fortunate. The ones who DO WANT TO TAKE A STAND to change our society for the better. A new perspective is necessary for our survival.
What current events or circumstances should receive more news coverage?
Co-housing communities, community building, volunteer opportunities....
Important global news should also not be buried or hidden in the media. There is so much more to life than what we are being controlled by!
Frankly, I love most of the topics that are discussed on Coast To Coast. They expose very important issues. (see or find it on your late night radio!)
Who is today's most absurd role model?
ALL THE SPOILED "ENTERTAINERS" ! It is abusrd that "they" think we are interested. I can not and will not watch those folks or any programs associated. AMEN
What cause do you believe in enough to take action?
Anything for children, elderly, disabled, and animals.
I have advocated for all mentioned and still do.
For what causes have you taken action in the past?
People are all we have. We must take action where we can, where we live, at least. I and some local folks helped to start a "challenger" little league back in the 90's and advocated for more opportunities for disabled children in the school system. In the 70's, there were political action agendas! (Too bad the spirit of those times is dormant now!)
I volunteer for elderly, sponsor a child through World Vision, and am primary caregiver to daughter with cerebral palsy.
What is the best book you've read about bettering the world?
No best yet, however, those that help us to become better positive individuals ultimately spread to one another our energies for change and betterment for all.
What is a socially-conscious website that everyone should know about?
The Global Intelligencer
The Noetic Society
What the Bleep
Association for Co-housing
